Freda (Qingyi) Song Drechsler joined Turner Investment Partners in 2009 as a Quantitative Research Manager. Ms. Drechsler is responsible for applying quantitative techniques to detect relationships between firm-specific factors and future excess returns of stocks, identifying relationships between macroeconomic conditions and the relative returns of countries and regions, and building and enhancing risk models used in managing the firm’s quantitative and growth portfolios.

Ms. Drechsler received her Ph.D. degree in Applied Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a master of arts degree from the Graduate Division, School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, and received a bachelor of science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Hong Kong in 2004. Prior to transferring to the University of Hong Kong, she also studied in Tsinghua University in China for one year majoring in Civil Engineering. Freda is originally from Shanghai, China, and she is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.
