Freda Song Drechsler joins Turner Investment Partners as quantitative research manager, 2.3.09 BERWYN, Pa., February 3, 2009 -- Freda Song Drechsler has joined Turner Investment Partners as quantitative research manager. In this newly created position, Ms. Drechsler, 27, is responsible for applying quantitative techniques to detect relationships between investment-related factors and future excess returns of stocks, identifying relationships between macroeconomic variables and the relative returns of countries and regions, and building and enhancing risk models used in managing the firm’s quantitative and growth portfolios. She becomes the fourth member of the Quantitative Investing Team. She reports to David Kovacs, chief investment officer, quantitative strategies. Ms. Drechsler expects to receive her Ph.D. degree in applied economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a bachelor of science degree in actuarial science from the University of Hong Kong in 2004 and a master of arts degree from the Graduate Division, School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. She is a resident of Narberth, Pennsylvania. Turner Investment Partners is an employee-owned investment firm based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
